ZSFG provides emergency, primary, and behavioral health care for every patient, regardless of insurance or income. And as our region’s only Level 1 Trauma Center, we all rely on ZSFG in an emergency.
But public health care faces a crisis. In 2027, when new federal legislation takes effect, many of our neighbors will lose their Medi-Cal or ACA health coverage. Those covered by other insurance will experience longer ER wait times and other issues. Our community hospital is bracing for an unprecedented surge in patients.
